Made in India?
I Haven’t gone shopping for a long time. Last Saturday a friend and I, we went shopping for the whole afternoon. We went through all shops from small to big department stores, from unknown to well-known shops. In the end, both of us, we bought nothing.
Not because there were too little to buy, on the contrary, there were too much. But we could take a fancy to nothing. The ones we liked cost hundreds, even thousands of Euros; and they were all made in France or made in Italy. Those we did not like were from India, Turkey and Romania.
We didn’t buy such kinds of clothes, therefore we can not say whether these clothes can stand wear and tear, but, what a color, a quality, a design and a style they are! No exaggerating. Some clothes look like clothes for pregnant women, but in fact they are designed for teens. Some of them are 100% cotton, but so thin like gauze that you are afraid of touching them.
We have ever complained about living abroad but buying lots of clothes made in China, why not buy them in China which is much cheaper. Now we are thinking that clothes “Made in China” is good value for money, regardless the colors, the styles or the grades. You have spent lots of money but you feel happy. Before long, “Made in China” sounds like a whip that beats badly on European people’s body. They don’t accept the whole European markets are full of Made in China, and “Made in China” threatens their job opportunities. The Tax must be raised for Chinese textile products in order to make “Made in China” have no competitive advantages. Since then, a large amount of textile products such as “Made in India”, “Made in Turkey” and “Made in Romania” spread the whole Europe.
However, who can say that today’s “Made in India” or “Made in Turkey” will not follow in China’s footsteps?!
