Strange, but nice !!;)
though I’ve a stressful day, I had to comment on my favorite blog
really a nice and interesting pic, but if You call it “bird’s nest”, what a giant bird You expect during the Olympic Games
@ Michael
Well, there are some mini birds, some giant birds, and this one is the giant one
Alright, your advice is kindly accepted. Free Chinese Tea for all, also for the giant birds….:-D
I’m from South Africa I love your stadium it’s so great no stadium will get better than this one
@Siyabonga
Well, there is no the best one, but only the better one… Hope a better one will be built in South Africa.
@Siyu
I doubt you know why this stadium is unique and strange. In South Africa all the stadium are based on Germans design trust me they look the same as the 2006 german world cup
@Siyabonga
Oh really? I don’t know that. That’s true that Germans have a very good reputation for architecture, maybe this is the reason why all designs are based on German’s.
I guess all Chinese stadiums Olympic Games 2008 are designed by Chinese this time. There were lots of architecture designed by Russians and Germans before and these old buildings are still in there!
hi im wondering if the stadium is base on birds nest soup or on of this years olympic mascots does anyone know?
Chinese people are crazy!! How can they build such a thing, I am so amaized!!!!!
@boosh
….of course on the soup, what else then
@Clover
A Chinese proverb:” Nothing is impossible”
i am from canada i like the structure of this stadium creative of the designer
@ jaybee
Me too:-) It’s just amazing how could it be built like that! I saw a picture some time ago that the Stadium looks fabulous with light show! Hope to get such beautiful pic too.
there are two greatest things in the world, the one is china olympics and the another one is superstar Rajnikant movie “Sivaji”.
what a great building<<
i wish i can build a great building like that if i become an engineer..
@dhita
Hope your dream comes true one day
@Jackie
Really? If you say so, I agree
Hi,
The designers of ‘the birds nest’ are Swiss. Not quite German, but certainly not Chinese. I am surprised that nobody has pointed this out so far with so many people slagging off German architecture.
Sam
@sam
You are right, the designer of the bird’s nest is a Suiss. However, in this case, people are not really interested in who the designer is; on the contray, people are just fastinated by the object – the bird’s nest itself! Don’t you think so?
Of course, for those who are interested in architecture or who are selves architects, do care about the designer.
its huuge and rreally clever how they made it
@holly
One piece of steel after another and step by step I guess
Same like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, of course this one is larger and more complecated
cooool!
Really lika a birds nest,
really made of steal???
@speedy
No, but really steel!
Really steal?
